We have experience in conducting Admiralty actions through the Admiralty & Commercial Registry of the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

Types of claim

The matters over which the Admiralty Court has jurisdiction are found under s.20 (1) (a) of the Supreme Court Act 1981. They include: -

claims relating to ownership
claims relating to mortgages or other charges on a ship
damage done to or by a ship
loss of life or personal injury
loss or damage to goods carried on board
claims relating to the hire of a ship
salvage, collision and towage claims
construction, repair or maintenance claims
