Position: Managing Director and Head of Private Client
David Edwards is a highly experienced Private Client Solicitor and an expert in working with you on strategies to protect and manage wealth and protect you and your family.
David also has many years experience in residential conveyancing matters and acts for a select number of clients on residential sales and purchases, including higher value properties.
He acts for a range of clients including families, couples, single parents, elderly persons, and HNW individuals including farmers, land owners and business owners. He is also legal advisor to a number of charities, family trusts and Deputies working with the Public Guardianship Office.
He enjoys working with clients to find the right solution for them. David’s sympathetic approach and over 25 years experience in family protection and tax planning Wills, family and charitable Trusts, Probate including cross-border estates and Care for the Elderly ensures the right outcome for clients.
David is based in Brighton and by appointment at East Grinstead, London and Worthing.
For more than ten years David worked closely with the University of Brighton and was the lead partner of this firm’s sponsorship of the Art and Architecture Faculty’s Graduate Show. He is an Ambassador of University of Brighton.
David has been a partner or director in the firm since 1986 and is the firm’s Managing Director and Head of the Private Client team. He is also a member of The Society of Estate Practitioners (STEP) the worldwide specialist grouping of Trust and Estate specialists, a member of the Agricultural Law Association and is a past President and the current Treasurer of Sussex Law Society.
